Merimbula 2025 Small Top Tourism Town GOLD Winner for 2025

The National Competition award ceremony will be held on the 3^rd of September! Here we will go up against the winners in each state for the title of TOP TOURISM TOWN in Australia!

I will keep you posted…in the meantime here is what we have been doing behind the scenes to continue to promote Merimbula as the TOP tourist destination!

- Press release was sent to multiple news outlets, most of which picked up the story and shared the good news.

- Website banner (if you would like this for your website please let me know)

- Unique landing page with Itineraries.

- Public newsletter to our over 320 subscribers.

- Featured on the Destination NSW Southern Industry newsletter.

- Local publicity through Kristy McBain on her Facebook and LinkedIn pages.

- Featured in Sapphire Coast Destination Marketing Public and Industry newsletters.

- Print media campaign into The Canberra Times which will run at the end of July. 

- Multiple radio interviews from Newcastle to Canberra and down the Coast to our local region.

- Stickers ordered for those with a store front (ETA end of July) to show your Merimbula Pride.

- Community Story Telling. 100 reasons why we love Merimbula E-book in progress with launch date in August. 

- ATDW Listing updated. 

- LinkedIn shares across industry, personal and business pages. 

The award has also started conversations with numerous groups looking to include Merimbula in their coach Itineraries as well as opportunities within the Disability/Respite space. This is a work in progress so stay tuned! Along with all this excitement we have also welcomed on board 7 new members with many more looking to join Merimbula Tourism and support what we do.
