Celebrate Merimbula’s golden season with the inaugural WinterSun Festival! Crisp days, golden skies, beautiful sunrises, and sunsets all celebrate the beauty of Winter in our town.

Get together with friends and family at the WinterSun Festival over the long weekend and enjoy a celebration a celebration of local foodies, a classic movie with mulled wine, a gala of local musical talent, a salty swim on Saturday morning, a special night at the Club and more. With local flair, forte and flavour taking centre stage, WinterSun shines a light on everything that’s golden about Merimbula in Winter.

SALTY SATURDAY SWIM – SATURDAY 12TH JUNE Saturday begins with the charity Budgy Smugglers Salty Saturday Swim proudly supporting ORRCA at Mitchies Jetty in Fishpen at 8AM. ORRCA is Organisation for the Rescue and Research of Cetaceans in Australia and their focus is the rescue, preservation, conservation and welfare of Whales, Dolphins, Seals and Dugongs in Australian waters. Take the plunge and support this very worthy charity with a swim, float or paddle to Mitchies Jetty!  Find out more and submit your free entry HERE

STREETFEST SATURDAY – SATURDAY 12TH JUNE The Saturday celebrations continue with StreetFest and all-day live performances featuring a variety of FREE entertainment to enjoy while you take a leisurely stroll around Merimbula. Browse the markets for local wares and produce, have a chat, a hot espresso and sample one of the food stalls or Merimbula cafes.

SUNDAY FUNDAY – SUNDAY 13TH JUNE Merimbula’s Top Fun have come on board for WinterSun on June 13th, offering special activity passes including golf, laser tag or ten pin bowling, plus free face painting, free party bag and a visit from Spiderman and Alisa from Frozen. Contact Top Fun directly to book!! Sunday also has on offer, a relaxed round of Barefoot Bowls at Club Sapphire. Bookings essential!

WINTERSUN FESTIVAL RACE DAY SUNDAY – SUNDAY 13TH JUNE Then go-go racing at Sapphire Turf Club, Kalaru: WinterSun Festival Race Day is set to be a terrific day at the Turf Club! Located just 15 minutes from Merimbula, it is with good reason that the Sapphire Coast Turf Club is fast becoming one of the most popular tracks in regional New South Wales. We’re sad to announce that Food Truck Friday will not go ahead as planned - inclement weather has intervened and the event has been cancelled. Thanks go to the wonderful folks at the#Foodtruckcollective for all their enthusiasm and support regardless. They will be back...
