Entangled Life Solo exhibition by Karen Sediatis

Again and again she was drawn to the myriad ways the outer world influences the inner, exploring different effects using glass bowls as both influencer and influenced, creating dialogues between both using light, shadow, colour and form.

It excites her to find worlds within worlds, meaning in seeming disorder. In her studio she created still life arrangements inside and outside the glass, exploring the unique atmosphere found in these chance encounters between the interior and exterior imagery.

In this body of work she has learnt to be a conduit for themes of uncertainty; the unknown outcomes of entangled elements from without forming new perspectives within, often resulting in a series of three paintings on canvas arising from one source.
