Discover the rich Aboriginal culture and history of the Sapphire Coast with the Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council, custodians of one of Australia's most significant cultural landscapes.

The Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council offers guided experiences along the Gateway to the Bundian Way from Jigamy to Quarantine Bay, celebrating and sharing the stories of the ancient Aboriginal pathway that stretches from the highest peaks of the Snowy Mountains to the shores of Twofold Bay. For thousands of years, this important route connected Aboriginal communities as they travelled to the coast for the annual whale migration and cultural gatherings.

Through guided tours, visitors can learn about the cultural significance of the Bundian Way, hear traditional stories, gain insight into the deep connection between the Yuin People and Country, and experience the landscape through an Aboriginal cultural perspective. These immersive experiences provide a unique opportunity to connect with the region's history, traditions and living culture.

Following years of research and consultation led by the Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council, the 335-kilometre Bundian Way was officially recognised as a single Aboriginal cultural landscape and was heritage listed by the NSW Government in 2013. Today, the Gateway to the Bundian Way continues to celebrate this remarkable journey, inviting visitors to explore one of Australia's most significant Aboriginal cultural tourism experiences.

Whether you're interested in history, culture, nature or meaningful travel experiences, a tour with the Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council offers an unforgettable insight into the stories and traditions that have shaped this extraordinary landscape for countless generations.
