PAMBULA RIVER MOUTH

Stop by the turquoise waters of Pambula River Mouth for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, bushwalking or just to enjoy the amazing vistas.

Not technically a beach, but with it's turquoise waters and white sand, the river mouth is one of the most popular swimming spots on the Sapphire Coast, and surely one of the prettiest as well!

Pambula Lake feeds into this stunning location that delights visitors and locals alike. The large tidal exchange means good fishing and you'll often see a boat or two adrift in the current with a line out.

Ample sandy shallows make this an appealing spot for small children and there's a small playground, toilets and picnic area at the end of Coraki Drive.  From there, walk around to the right past the 3 iconic Pambula boat sheds, and you'll see a set of stairs leading up into the National Park. Head up the stairs to an enjoyable short walk to a viewing platform looking out onto pretty Severs Beach on the other side of the river.

This is a spot to spend a day to explore, especially during the warmer months when swimming the clear waters is a very inviting prospect.  Bring the hat, sunscreen & water there's not a lot of shade in the middle of the day.
